SACHER TORTE

Chocolate lover..you should try this one. Sacher Torte, the famouse chocolate cake from Austrian.Every bit of sacher torte will bring you to feel the delicious of chocolate flavour..

I make this cake for my sister in law's engagement day in Jakarta. Hope all my family will love it.

Here is the recipy..I take from NCC

Ingredients :
(A)
160gr margarine
160gr fine sugar
8 yolks
1 sdt vanilli powder
160gr dark cooking chocolate, melted.
150gr Top Flour

(B)
8 egg whites
150gr fine sugar
(C)
250gr appricot glaze

Method :
- Cream margarine and sugar until light
- Add yolks, continue creaming until light and smooth.
- Add melting chocolate, mix until well blended
- Then add half of the Top Flour, mix until well combined
- Whip the egg white until foamy. Add in the sugar gradually. Continue whipping until hard peak.
- Mix the whipped egg with the above butter until well blended
- Fold in a remaining 1/2 of the top flour. Mix until well combined
- Pour into a greased and paper line 9 inch round mould.
- Bake at 180C for 45 minutes

Chocolate GENACHE
Ingredients:
350gr Dark Cooking Chocolate, chopped
350ml whipping cream
Method :
Cook whipping cream and dark cooking chocolate, stir until the chocolate is melted completely.
Leave aside until it thickens....( more than 2 hours ...)

Finishing:
- Slice the cake horizontally into 3 layers
- Sandwich the cake layer and coat the first and third layer with the appricot glaze. The 2nd layer with chocolate genache.
- Place the cake into the fridge for 30 minutes
- Take the cake out from the fridge. Put it on a wire rack. Pour the chocolate genache on top. Shake the wire rack to allow the glaze run evenly. Leave until set.

Ready to "fly" to Jakarta
